Daily Objective: Describe how geography and the Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations influenced Greek culture 
Due: Greece Map Due
Class: 4.1 Intro Video, Green Vocabulary and Venn Diagram Worksheet
Homework: Finish 4.1 worksheet (most completed in class)

Tuesday-
Daily Objective: Compare the city-states of Sparta and Athens
Due: 4.1 Worksheet
Class: Discuss 4.1, Create Sparta and Athens Daily Life and Government Organizer for 4.2, Partner Activity for Sparta and Athens, each person reads and fills in organizer for either Sparta or Athens
Homework: Complete section in organizer

Thursday-
Daily Objective: Compare the city-states of Sparta and Athens
Due: 4.2 Organizer
Class: Ancient Governments Transparency,  Sparta and Athens Graphic Novel, Partner share 4.2 organizer and vocabulary/people
Homework: Growing Up Spartan or Athenian Essay Worksheet

Friday-
Daily Objective: Identify the causes and effects of Greek wars with Persia
Due: Growing Up Essay
Class: Read essays, Sparta and Athens Flash Quiz, Read 4.2 and complete worksheet, correct worksheet and discuss, Week in Rap Current Events Rap and Discussion (http://flocabulary.com/the-week-in-rap/, must have email to sign up for a free trial to view)
Homework: Complete Themistocles Worksheet #1-4 (most finished in class)
Extra Credit- Movie "300" or "Troy" watch and complete 1/2 page on the major events and outcomes in the movie (*both movies are rated "R" and parent/guardian must preview and give permission by signing student essay, alternative extra credit assignment can be arranged) 




American History: Grade 7

Monday-
Daily Objective: Learn how the Spaniards conquered the Aztec and the Inca and how this conquest changed Mexico and South America
Due:
Class: Read 4.1 and complete worksheet, correct and discuss, review teacher notes
Homework: Read American buffalo handout and complete questions (most finished in class)

Tuesday-
Daily Objective: Learn about life in the Spanish colonies and what areas of the present-day US the Spaniards explored
Due: The American Buffalo Worksheet and 6 questions
Class: Make organizer, Read 4.2 and complete organizer as a class (complete three sections on Spain's American Empire, 3 kinds of settlements, social classes)
Homework: Finish social class section in organizer from pg 100 in book

Thursday-
Daily Objective: Learn about life in the Spanish colonies and what areas of the present-day US the Spaniards explored (repeat)
Due: Social class section in organizer
Class: Class Flash Review Quiz on 4.2, Finish 4.2 Organizer as a class(Borderlands and Missions)
Homework: Read 4.3

Friday-
Daily Objective: Learn about French colonization in North America and why the Dutch established New Netherlands
